Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country singer and songwriter. After the release of two singles as well as an album titled Satisfied in 2007 she formed a band named Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert and released her 2nd album called Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe works as the Assistant village manager of Riverside Illinois. With over 15 years work experience, she's served in various positions within the public sector, including five years spent in the Iowa City city manager position as Deputy. As Assistant Village Director, she manages managing the Community Development and Building Department. The department is responsible for coordinating the grant application process and also completing specific projects. Ashley's job at Riverside is to assist with the day-to-day operation of the village's services and carry out the strategic vision set forth by elected officials. Ashley has served in a range of responsibilities previously, such as the planning of municipal services and communication for government collective bargaining for the budgeting of personnel as well as focus on climate change projects. Ashley gained valuable insight from her involvement with national organizations as well as her involvement in different communities.
